SAVS is a unique, referral-only, high-end veterinary specialty clinic rooted in strong core values and principles. Our training and expertise in these specific fields allow us to focus on and provide exceptional care. Our desire to make a positive impact on the health of our patients means we must also take care of our clients and referring veterinarians with compassion, empathy, and clear and continuous communication. We are dedicated to giving back to our community and supporting various animal related non-profit organizations in the greater San Antonio area.
ACCOUNTABILITY & LEADERSHIP:
Owned & Operated by Veterinarians – SAVS is the only veterinary referral clinic in San Antonio and all of South Texas where the specialists own and operate their individual practices. This means we take great pride in going above and beyond for our clients and referring veterinarians.
Board-Certified Specialists – You must be board-certified in your field to work at SAVS. Achieving board certification typically requires a minimum of 4-5 extra years of intensive training and rigorous examination beyond veterinary school. SAVS is the only veterinary referral clinic in San Antonio and all of South Texas in which every single doctor is board-certified in their field. This currently includes two board-certified veterinary oncologists, three board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists and one board-certified veterinary surgeon. All SAVS specialists integrate care as a united team with respect and trust for patients, clients and one another.
Service-Oriented – SAVS is the only veterinary referral clinic in San Antonio and all of South Texas that is open during the week by appointment only. This allows us to stay on time (within reason) with our appointments. Pet owners coming to visit us will not be severely delayed by critical emergencies. Our specialists and experienced staff are dedicated to providing the highest standards in customer service.
INNOVATIVE & RESULTS DRIVEN:
State-of-the-Art Clinic – SAVS has a robust in-house laboratory – including cytology, telepathology and digital radiology services – which means same day and nearly immediate laboratory results when needed as well as the ability to provide same day diagnostic testing. Our radiologic capabilities also include superior ultrasound imaging and 64 slice high-resolution CT.
COMMUNITY-ORIENTED:
Stewards who Prioritize Education – SAVS is the home to the SAVS Learning Institute, a space dedicated to learning, veterinary education, skill-development and mentorship within the veterinary profession. We want to be a part of raising the next generation of great veterinarians.
Philanthropic & Creative – SAVS includes an art gallery called “Greller Gallery” with rotating exhibitions held within the lobby and exam hallways of the clinic. Each exhibition is curated carefully to help raise awareness and funds in support of animal non-profits in the area.
