South Texas Veterinary Surgery (STVS) presents an accredited CE for veterinary technicians titled “Mast Cell Tumors – the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” led by LVT, Kimberlee McCabe and hosted by Dr. Meredith Esterline, DVM, MS, DACVS.

This 1.5 hour CE presentation is a technician’s guide to understanding this prevalent type of cancer. The presentation will lead technicians down the path of defining what is a mast cell, what is a mast cell tumor, understanding the importance of early detection and diagnosis, surgical excision protocols, and tips on how to interpret histopathology results to provide appropriate continued care. This presentation will also briefly discuss chemotherapy options for patients with mast cell tumors.
