Opening Summer 2023!

San Antonio Veterinary Specialists (SAVS) will be opening in the summer of 2023 and offering cutting-edge diagnostics and treatment for dogs and cats from San Antonio’s best board-certified specialists in the areas of oncology, ophthalmology and surgery. SAVS will be providing the highest quality medicine and surgery with state-of-the-art technology, expertise and unmatched customer service in the veterinary specialty field.

SAVS is a boutique, referral-based veterinary clinic that sees cases by appointment only for each practice. SAVS will not be treating critically ill patients. These cases will be better served at 24-hour care facilities located throughout the city.

Each of the SAVS specialty services is individually owned by the specialists and will work alongside one another to provide more comprehensive care. All three practices will start receiving patients on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

About Our Specialty Services

Animal Cancer Center of Texas (ACCT) believes in treating all of its clients and patients like family through compassion, empathy, listening, honesty, and trust. Our team of board-certified veterinary oncologists and well-trained staff are committed to providing state-of-the-art diagnostics and comprehensive treatments for your pet in order to provide the very best quality of life for the longest period of time possible. Our goals are to guide you through the journey of diagnosis, treatment planning, and discussion of prognosis unique to your pet’s individual cancer. We make every effort to provide the highest level of communication and support along the way so that together we can customize a specific cancer care plan that suits the needs and expectations for you and your treasured pet. The ACCT team wishes to maintain comfort and happiness for all dogs and cats living with cancer. Our pets do not understand that they have cancer nor understand their prognosis, so we want to ensure that they are living their very best life throughout the process. The Animal Cancer Center of Texas is here to help.
South Texas Veterinary Ophthalmology (STVO) is committed to helping its patients live happy and healthy lives with minimal discomfort and excellent vision. Our board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists and well-trained staff provide expertise and advanced training in the diagnosis and management of ocular diseases. As veterinary specialists, we work in conjunction with our client's primary care veterinarians to ensure that our patients receive the best care at all times. We understand the special bond our clients have with their pets and will always do our best to provide a safe, calming and thorough consultation while examining and diagnosing patients. It is our mission to provide the most advanced and affordable veterinary eye care available and to create a welcoming and comfortable service-oriented environment for the people and their pets of San Antonio and all of South Texas. STVO has enjoyed being at its current location off Sonterra Blvd in Stone Oak over the past 20 years. During this time, the practice has grown in size/caseload and we are needing more space. We are looking forward to our move to SAVS this summer, which will provide more examination rooms and a larger surgical space to help better serve our clients and rDVM needs.
South Texas Veterinary Surgery (STVS) has a mission to offer the highest quality experience for both pets and their humans when surgery is necessary. Our team includes a board-certified veterinary surgeon and exceptional technical staff who have over 20+ years of experience in providing surgical procedures for patients. By offering comprehensive knowledge and abilities, compassionate care, pre-operative protocols, and dedicated recovery care, the STVS team works diligently to provide positive surgical outcomes for its patients. In support of ACCT, STVS will place a significant emphasis on cancer surgery as well as offer a wide range of specialized surgical procedures including TPLOs, MPLs, FHOs, fractures, abdominal surgery, thoracic surgery, head and neck surgery and straightforward hemilaminectomy or ventral slot. We are confident that STVS is equipped to provide your pet with the best possible outcome and look forward to serving the animal-loving community of San Antonio and the South Texas region.
